JESUS is our ONLY hope

Lamentations 3:24

King James Version

24 The Lord is my portion,

saith my soul;

therefore will I hope in him.

We all hope the world will turn out better this year.

We all hope we will have better leaders.

But what if the world is not attuned to GOD?

What if our leaders do not love Him?

What if our leaders don't even know GOD?

What if our leaders believe in a different god?

Disaster, right?

Would you like to be that different leader?

The one who believes in the One, True GOD.

The one who has offered his heart to the Lord.

The one in service to Him, following His will alone.

The one who serves others, because he serves GOD first.

If you are, then the world stands a chance.

For you will lead better.

You will lead differently.

You will live by Scripture.

God searches the world for His faithful.

In the words of Hanani, the seer, who spoke to Asa, king of Judah:

2 Chronicles 16:9

King James Version

9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro

throughout the whole earth,

to shew himself strong in the behalf of them

whose heart is perfect toward him

But because Asa's heart was not perfect toward the LORD, Hanani declared (from the same verse):

"Herein thou hast done foolishly:

therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars."

Angered at the seer, the king puts Hanani in prison, and oppressed his people at the same time.

This has been the plight of the world for a long time now.

Beset by wars -- both domestic and international wars.

All because we don't want to know GOD.
We don't want to believe in JESUS.
We don't care to know GOD's will.
We put our trust in the world.
We have many gods.
We are full of pride.
We do not seek GOD.

It all must change now.

Before it is too late.

Why should the next generation suffer?

While we all live, we must turn to the Lord.

And if we have strayed, we must return to Him.

Through His Son, JESUS.

Who happens to be our ONLY hope.

Titus 2:13

King James Version

13 Looking for that blessed hope,

and the glorious appearing

of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

How to Lead Better

John 3:5-7

King James Version

5 Jesus answered,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

I champion the cause of being born again.

Unless you have accepted the command of Jesus, to be born again -- of water and of the Spirit -- you cannot lead better.

You will continue serving the world.

You will not understand things of the Spirit.

And those are very deep things of God.

Which only the Spirit of the Lord can teach you.

God did say:

Matthew 6:24 (KJV)

24 No man can serve two masters

for either he will hate the one,

and love the other;

or else he will hold to the one,

and despise the other.

Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

If your heart resists those commands, then you're not ready to lead in the best way possible, under the command of the Lord.

But if you've chosen the world's way, and it's come short, and you continue to see injustice, and poverty, around you, then we welcome you to see another way -- God's way.

God is the only one who can save us from our deluded thinking.

How can you lead in a deluded manner?

How can you lead others to their downfall?

How can you destroy yourself, and others?

As you have seen in the world, we are all going around in circles.

The moment you accept Jesus in your heart, you step off that mindless, heartless circle.

And you begin to see the narrow path, leading back to the Lord.

Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV)

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate

for wide is the gate,

and broad is the way,

that leadeth to destruction,

and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate,

and narrow is the way,

which leadeth unto life,

and few there be that find it.

Only by being forged by fire -- the Holy Spirit's fire of instruction -- can your heart really see how it is to best lead yourself and others.

And thus, we go back full circle.

"You must become born again."

Jesus is the Only Master

 Matthew 23:8
King James Version

8 But be not ye called Rabbi:

for one is your Master,

even Christ;

and all ye are brethren.

Why do humans and nations fall all over themselves, and step on each other, in the race to world domination, when that verse shows only Christ is the Master?

This verse supports that, too:

Matthew 23:10 (KJV)

10 Neither be ye called masters:

for one is your Master,

even Christ.

Why do we aspire to be top of the heap, when those things matter not to God at all, except what we have in our hearts for Him?

In that mad scramble to be top nation of the world, smartest person, most beautiful human being, most popular personality, richest person, most talented, most loved, we, of course, sell our souls to the devil.

Even as Jesus already freed us from the latter's stranglehold upon our lives, when the Lord died on the cross.

But it seems, the world finds the devil's offer better.

Remember how satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness?

Matthew 4:8-11 (KJV)

8 Again,

the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain,

and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world,

and the glory of them;

9 And saith unto him,

All these things will I give thee,

if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him,

Get thee hence, Satan:

for it is written,

Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God,

and him only shalt thou serve.

11 Then the devil leaveth him,

and, behold,

angels came and ministered unto him.

If you know, from the Bible, that the world was created by Jesus, and for Him, you'd laugh at the devil's nerve, and futility.

By His very examples as a man, whose heart was only after the Father, Jesus showed us how to face such temptations, and never to veer away from the Father.

Such is the Master's way of leadership.

Not of Himself, but of God.

Why do you think I follow only Jesus?

The Kind of Leader You Need to Be

1 Corinthians 10:31

King James Version

31 Whether therefore ye eat,

or drink,

or whatsoever ye do,

do all to the glory of God.

We all fail each other, when we don't know God.

How can we lead each other perfectly, when we don't know God?

How can we claim to love each other, when we don't believe in Jesus?

How can we know what's right for others, when we don't listen to the Lord?

But the moment we are born again, we can know.

Until you are born again, your knowledge is deeply flawed.

You cannot serve others well, as Jesus had, unless you are His own.

When you are the Lord's own, you'll realize being a leader, is being a servant.

You are not to be served, but to serve.

You are not to create a throne for yourself.

Only God has a throne.

We are mortals, subject to God's divine laws, and instructions from the Holy Spirit.

By ourselves, we know nothing.

The world will entice you with things not of God.

And when you succumb to that temptation, you are doomed.

Only by the grace of the God can we be saved -- mostly from ourselves -- from our wrong notions.

Life was meant to be lived for God, not self.

Life was meant to be lived for service to others, not self.

Where God is, there is no self.

Only God.

All glory belong to Him alone.

The next post will show you why.

The Best Leaders

The greatest leaders

are those

who cause others

to know.

Exactly 20 years ago, that idea formed in my heart.

And I was convinced of it.

As I reached the end of my professional life in the big city, I finally addressed a major focus in my life.

On leadership.

Not mine, but the world's.

Or maybe, it was mine, too, for you cannot speak of what you're not.

I had to grow into it, too.

Whatever was growing in my heart, was merely an awakening, of seeking something better that the world offered.

I had not lacked success, nor spirit.

I was to learn it was a different Spirit I was looking for.

Now, 17 months later, I can share my findings with you.

In my heart, I felt that there was something missing in the world.

That despite the MBAs, the intellect, the world lacked something.

I knew it was heart.

For if the world had heart, there would be no poverty, nor enslavement of any kind.

I knew we needed God.

But I didn't know God then.

The world made sure I wouldn't know the magnificence of the Creator.

It may be also that the Creator pulled down the veil Himself, until such time He was sure I wanted to know EVERYTHING about Him.

Now, I must say, after getting to know the Bible -- His Word -- I have better understanding.

Now, I only pray to Jesus.

Now, I only wait for instructions from the Holy Spirit -- the teacher of all things -- the One tasked to teach us about Jesus.

Now, I only pray for God's will.

Now, I've come upon many discoveries that make me say, "God is AWESUM!"

Awesum?

Well, God is the sum of all AWES.

Isaiah 60:1

King James Version

60 Arise,

shine;

for thy light is come,

and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
